Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed copy of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Obituary content. We collect the information you provide about the deceased and their family members, the photo you optionally upload, and any text generated, edited, or finalized in the Service.

Payment information. When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS in-app purchases). We do not store credit card numbers — only a reference to your purchase and the amount charged.

Technical data. Our servers automatically log IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability.

Eulogia uses artificial intelligence to generate obituary text. To do so, we send the information you provide about the deceased to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic processes data under their Privacy Policy. We do not allow our AI providers to train models on your data.

• Resend — email delivery for the obituaries you choose to send

• Vercel — website hosting

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party processors listed above, who are contractually required to protect it. We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, or government request) or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Photos you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 with publicly unguessable URLs. If you intentionally share an obituary email containing the photo, the recipient can view or download it. We do not index photos publicly or share them outside of recipients you select.

You can request to access, correct, or delete your account and all associated obituary data at any time by emailing privacy@eulogia.app. If you are a California, EU, or UK resident, you have additional rights under CCPA / GDPR / UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a regulatory authority.

We retain your account and obituary data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated obituary content within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, secure password hashing (bcrypt), and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

Eulogia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
